Today is Wednesday the 1 May in the Second Week of Easter.
Salt of the Sound sing, ‘Unveil my Eyes’.
Today’s reading is from the Gospel of John.
Jesus is not about darkness, but light; not about death, but about life. Do you really believe this? What does this mean to you?
Those who do what is true come to the light.’ Is there anyone you can think of like that, someone who is just transparently holy, authentic, a person of truth?
In this passage, Jesus is speaking about truth and honesty. God appears harsh only when we are trying to hide. Listen again to what Jesus says, and ask yourself: is there any area in your life where you are kidding yourself, and trying to kid God, about what’s really going on?
Spend some time now with Jesus, as Nicodemus did, asking to be led into God’s truth and light.
