Script
0:00
Azimuth
Just as the needle on a compass turns around until it rests on due north, allow your swirling desires to show you the true purpose of your life…
Allow everyday thoughts to come and go, as you become more attentive to your breathing… and let God’s face shine upon you… as you allow God’s presence to heal and sooth you…
2:21
Listen now to Jesus speaking of your purpose in life…
Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you - you of little faith? Therefore do not worry, saying, “What will we eat?” or “What will we drink?” or “What will we wear?” For it is the Gentiles who strive for all these things; and indeed your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

The purpose of life is to strive for God’s Kingdom: to know that you are loved by God, and to share that love… Everything in life is a gift to help you… to be used when it helps, and let go of when it hinders…
First, take a moment to ponder your life: what is its meaning and purpose… and what part do God, other people and creation have to play…?
Then ponder your work: what is your motivation… what makes it worthwhile… and how does it connect with others and God…?
Notice how your life and your work resonate with one another… do you detect any areas of dissonance between them…?
As you ponder your life and work… put into words your own true north… where your deepest desires are drawn together to fulfil your deepest purpose in life…
Whenever you are confronted with a decision today, remind yourself of your true North… and ask yourself: ‘Which way am I headed…?’
God, before all else, you are the ground upon which I stand, you are holding me in being, and you love me every day.
