Today is Monday the 16 September, in the 24th week of Ordinary Time.

Maximillian sings, ‘Redemption’. As you listen, take a moment to reflect on the person of Jesus.

Today’s reading is from the first Letter to Timothy.

There are so many problems in the world: wars, political crises, the climate crisis. It’s easy to feel powerless, too small to make a difference.

The passage we hear today tells us to pray, for everyone, and especially for leaders. Do you do this? What do you pray for?

There are many leaders and powerful people, but this letter tells us there is one God, and one mediator, Jesus.

Listen again to the passage. What does this one God desire for the world?

What would it be like if everyone was saved, and knew the truth? Talk to God about this desire…
