Today’s reading is from the Gospel of Luke.

Luke 8:1-3

Soon afterwards [Jesus] went on through cities and villages, proclaiming and bringing the good news of the kingdom of God. The twelve were with him, as well as some women who had been cured of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out, and Joanna, the wife of Herod’s steward Chuza, and Susanna, and many others, who provided for them out of their resources.

Imagine yourself on the road with Jesus. Perhaps you are one of the twelve, or someone healed by Jesus... Or maybe someone helping to fund his mission, or someone else? Why have you joined this group of followers? Notice who you are drawn to in the group...

As you journey with Jesus, what are you telling others you meet on the road? How do they respond to the message you bring? Notice where and how you can see the kingdom of God breaking through...

As you listen again, think about the resources you have that can aid the work of the kingdom today.
